All ten cities with the highest proportion of Asians were in the west and nine of them were in California. - About 58% of the 8.1 million Asians age 5 and over changed to a new US residence from 1995-2000. People are drawn to social movement because of hope: their dreams of a new world radically different from the one they inherited.... Black households enjoyed a 31 percent boost in real median household income between 1967 and 1997, compared with a 18 percent increase for whites (including Hispanics).
